Thank you for making Buckets of Blessings

Our hope for the Buckets of Blessings endeavor is that identified families will receive a small container filled with items gathered prayerfully and purposely just for them.
KBM hosts many wonderfully generous teams each year. Without exception they have come with suitcases packed full of donations to share with the people they minister to during their visit in Jamaica. When the supplies are sorted through and organized for distribution, we are usually amazed by the generosity and skillful packing that is apparent by the large amount of donations. By the end of the week of ministry that same team will unfailingly ask, “How could we do more?” The need is insurmountable.
Customarily when teams bring donations of clothing KBM, along with the team members, tries to find particular items that will fill the specific needs of an individual or family. More often than not a bag of mismatched, odd sized clothing is handed to the caregiver in that household and we pray that something will come close to fitting each person in the home. Imagine how touched they will be to receive the items that they need in their exact size!
Motivated by love for God and others, KBM invites you to be a part of this project. KBM follows the example of Jesus when he himself provided for the physical need of His followers as described in the Gospels. KBM repeatedly expresses to recipients that it is God who provides through KBM. You can be an avenue of blessing to others in need of basic food, clothing and shelter.

Petersville
Petersville is an area KBM has ministered in since 1997. We have seen so much growth and made many good friends in the area. You travel up and inland about 20 minutes to reach Murray Town and the Petersville All Age School. Teams have carried 1000s of gallons of water to neighboring homes, conducted devotions at the school, built, painted and repaired homes, churches and schools. We have held countless VBS in this area and seen many of all ages trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We work closely with the school and churches in the area. The last Saturday of June is the annual Sports Day that some of our teams have participated in. Most families in this area struggle to get by financially. Most on this list do work and work hard, but the income is insufficient. Many families share a small one room house as a home for ten members of the family or even more. If you’ve ministered with KBM in Jamaica, you have been to Petersville. You should recognize some to the names on this list. With rekindled memories, choose a family that when reading their names your heart makes a double beat.
Petersville All Age School
This school serves children in grades 1 – 9. KBM has partnered with this school since 1997 providing morning devotions, school lunches, great amounts of materials (pencils to computers). KBM painted the exterior and helped build the new Enrichment Center with 8 computers. We hope to bring in lumber to build the needed shelving to hold the many books KBM has to donate to the library.
Gully Bank
In March of 2010 God brought KBM to Gully Bank. He has directed our hearts to continue ministering in this area. Since then teams have assisted KBM in many building projects and VBS. The people of this area are very welcoming to the message of Christ. They are very much in need of assistance to supply basic needs such as clothes and shoes. When the children hear our vehicles coming down the lane, they start jumping and shouting with excitement knowing God’s people have come to share His love with them.
Infirmary
Visiting the infirmary is a heart touching experience! The residents are the discarded elderly and infirm. I know this is where Jesus himself would visit if He were in Jamaica! A touch, a prayer, a kind word… It’s the most difficult place KBM visits and likely the most rewarding.
